The Wit selects "The calendar of the year" by 3Koma as one of the most innovative formats
"The calendar of the year" by Basque production company 3koma (a partner of Eiken) and "El Sexómetro" by Four Luck Banana have been selected by the prestigious French company The Wit among the 30 most innovative TV premieres of the last six months anywhere in the world.
The presentation by Virginia Mouseler, Manager of The Wit , was one of the best attended at the latest MIPTV fair in Cannes last week. Under the title "Fresh TV Around the World", the talk featured the thirty most noteworthy TV premieres in the world
This is a highly significant recognition for the original format created by 3 Koma, which made a strong showing in Cannes. 12 countries took up production options on the idea during MIPTV, the world’s biggest television programme market.
The programme was first shown on ETB in January last. It is a fun reality show based on the success of sexy calendars featuring ordinary people produced to raise money for charity. Groups from different occupations compete to star in the sexiest calendar of the year. The programme undertakes to publish the “hottest” photos of the winners in a calendar. The proceeds from its sale go to a charity chosen by the winning group.
