SINCRO is an independent television production company established in 1986. Its main line of business is the international co-production of documentaries. It is a member of the DOCUS association and has produced 19 documentaries synchronising three main concepts: creativity,technology and quality.
- Last productions:
- The last Tycoon (El último magnate): in the stormy Europe of the 1920s, two men will challenge their rule and laws to develop the most advance military technology and other businesses in total secrecy. Two fascinating characters at the time when everything seemed possible: an officer of the German Navy, Wilhelms Canaris, and a Basque tycoon Citizen-Kane-style, Horacio Echevarrieta.
- The queen and the priest: Through a book which was saved from a bonfire ( the protestant translation into Basque of the New Testament) a 60 year period is narrated that goes from the conquest of Navarra, South of the Pyrenees in 1512, to St Bartholomew's day massacre in Paris in 1572.
- Catalina de Erauso, (the Nun Soldier): This amazing woman was born into a Basque family, and enters a convent at the tender age of 4. She leaves eleven years later, in 1600, disguised as a man and sets sail to the New World in order to overthrow the rebellious Indians. It is a film of adventures filled with the charm of Old world legends that we shall encounter along the way.
